Mary Ellen Strong
Mary Ellen Strong would often say that her entrepreneurship was born out of nessecity. There were few jobs for Blacks in general and Black women specifically in Milwaukee when she was growing up.
Director
Stacey Jones, PhD
is the founder and director of the Mary Ellen Strong Foundation. She is a
licensed psychologist with 20 years of experience as a mental health professional.

Ernest Jones, Esq
Attorney Ernest Jones provides legal counsel for MESF.
Board of Directors
The Mary Ellen Strong Foundation Board of Directors governs the work of the Foundation. Our
Board shapes the Foundation’s direction through its mission, strategy, budget, and key
policies; ensures that the leadership, resources, and finances in place match the Foundation’s
vision; and monitors and improves the performance of the organization. The Foundation Board
meets formally at least once a year, as well as between the regular meetings as needed to
conduct the Foundation’s business.
The Board currently has five members which includes:
